ReFiber™ is a filtration and infiltration medium manufactured from post-consumer carpet fiber. Installed in development areas and adjacent to sensitive natural areas, ReFiber acts as both a filtering medium—cleaning contaminants such as sediment, oils, grease, and petroleum products from stormwater runoff—and an aid to infiltration—counteracting increased impermeability of most development areas and returning water to the groundwater aquifer.

The ReFiber Drainage System is designed to:

  • Collect, clean, and transmit stormwater runoff created by urban development to groundwater in a long-term sustainable manner.
  • The purpose is to reduce flood risk and increase groundwater storage, providing a sustainable water supply for agriculture and drinking water.
